Today, we're pleased to announce that our latest training course, Workplace Safety, is now available.

What is workplace safety?

Workplace safety refers to the measures and protocols implemented to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of employees while they're at work. It involves creating a work environment free from hazards that could cause injury or illness.

Workplace safety is regulated by various laws and regulations. In the United States, this includes the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, which set minimum safety requirements that employers must follow.

Why is workplace safety important?

  • Protecting employees: The primary goal of safety training is to safeguard employees from injuries and accidents. Proper training equips employees with the knowledge and skills to recognize potential hazards and take appropriate actions to avoid them.
  • Compliance with regulations: Many industries are governed by strict safety regulations. Compliance with these regulations is not optional; it's a legal requirement. Failure to comply can result in hefty fines and legal consequences. Safety training ensures that employees are aware of these regulations and know how to adhere to them.
  • Reducing costs: Accidents and injuries can lead to significant financial losses due to medical expenses, workers' compensation claims, and lost productivity. By preventing accidents through effective training, organizations can save substantial amounts of money.
  • Enhancing productivity: A safe workplace is a productive workplace. When employees feel safe, they are more likely to be engaged and focused on their tasks, leading to higher efficiency and output.
  • Building a healthy work environment: Demonstrating a commitment to safety shows employees that their well-being is a priority. This fosters trust and loyalty, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

About the course

Every employee plays a role in contributing to a safe workplace. Ethena’s Workplace Safety Training helps employees understand and model safety protocols to keep themselves safe and the workplace hazard-free. With our role and industry-specific content, you can provide your team with training they’ll actually learn from and enjoy.

As with all Ethena training courses, Workplace Safety is designed with learners in mind. Since different team members need different OSHA training (depending on their working environment), admins can easily create assignments specific to role or department, and Ethena will automatically deliver the right training to the right learners.

Course syllabus

Unlike other vendors in the market, our Workplace Safety training covers the basics of OSHA while simultaneously allowing admins to choose from a collection of topics for training that's uniquely suited to their needs.

Aside from covering safety hazards encountered in both office and healthcare environments, our Workplace Safety Training course also includes the following modules:
