Course Summary

Insider trading refers to the illegal practice of buying or selling stocks, securities, or other financial instruments based on material, non-public information about a company. This privileged information may include confidential details about corporate earnings, mergers and acquisitions, or other big events that could affect your stock price.

This mini-course highlights your obligation to maintain confidential company information โ€” which could include material nonpublic information (MNPI) or inside information, and the importance of keeping MNPI confidential.

Using Deutsche Bank’s 2021 sanctions as an example, this mini-course revisits the FCPA’s regulations surrounding books, records, and internal controls.

I love the examples you provided. These happen in REAL LIFE!
