Why We Care

An intro to workplace harassment training in Australia, the importance of creating a healthy work environment, and employee protections that apply within (and beyond) the workplace.

What Is Harassment

An overview of the four major types of inappropriate workplace behaviour in Australia and the benefits of creating a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.

Recognising Harassment

Scenario-driven examples of what harassment can look like and the ways it can negatively affect individuals, teams, and companies.

Reporting Harassment and Preventing Victimisation

How a collective culture of reporting coupled with protections against victimisation leads to safer workplaces for everyone.

Off-The-Clock Harassment

Where harassment can happen outside of the workplace, how to recognize it, and why itโ€™s still important to report.

Why is harassment prevention training in Australia important?

While there are currently no federal laws mandating harassment prevention training, individual states and territories have their own regulations in place. For example, in New South Wales, employers are required to take reasonable steps to prevent workplace harassment, which may include providing training to employees. Additionally, the Australian Human Rights Commission provides resources and guidance on preventing and addressing workplace harassment and discrimination. Many employers in Australia voluntarily implement harassment prevention training programs to educate employees on recognizing, preventing, and responding to harassment and discrimination.

I love the examples you provided. These happen in REAL LIFE!
