In New York State, all employers (regardless of size) are required to provide sexual harassment training to all employees and/or supervisors. Similarly, New York City mandates sexual harassment training for all employees working within the city.
How often is sexual harassment training required in New York?
All employees in New York must undergo refresher harassment prevention training annually.
What’s the training deadline for new hires?
In both NYC and NYS, new hires should be trained “as soon as possible” after hire, but NYC employees who work more than 80 hours per year must have completed their training within 90 days of hire.
